Stephen Curry edges LeBron James, Kevin Durant among NBA's top-selling jerseys

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James may have taken over the NBA’s top spot in the latest round of All-Star voting, but Golden State Warriors counterpart Stephen Curry still leads the league in at least one popularity contest — jersey sales on NBAstore.com, where he edges James and teammate Kevin Durant.

For the first time this season, the NBA released its semi-regular team merchandise lists, and Curry holds the No. 1 spot among top-selling jerseys. Curry, James and Durant also ranked first, second and third, respectively, when the league last updated the data after another Warriors-Cavaliers NBA Finals.

Here is the NBA’s complete list of top-15 jersey sellers:

3. Durant
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
5. Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks
6. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
7. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
8. Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers
9. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs
10. James Harden, Houston Rockets
11. Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers
12. Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics
13. Klay Thompson, Warriors
14. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
15. Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves

Isaiah Thomas, Draymond Green, John Wall and Dwyane Wade all fell out of the top 15 from this past June. They were Porzingis, Embiid, Simmons and Ball for the months of October through December.

Antetokounmpo earned his highest ranking ever on the list.

After the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers for the seventh time in their last eight meetings on Monday night, Golden State handed Cleveland another defeat in merchandise sales. Here is that top-10 list:

3. 76ers
4. Lakers
5. Knicks
6. Bucks
7. Celtics
8. Spurs
9. Chicago Bulls
10. Thunder

The Warriors and Cavs also ranked 1-2 the last time the most popular team merchandise was revealed. The Sixers moved up six spots from ninth, and the Knicks replaced the Houston Rockets in the top 10.

It’s important to keep in mind that the NBA splits all merchandise sales evenly between the 30 teams. Still, if anything, these lists show the league is in good hands, with a healthy crop of young players and rosters moving up the rankings to challenge incumbent superstars and super-teams.
