These restaurants will be open on Christmas Day 2017

If you need a break from holiday cooking, these restaurants will be open on Christmas Day. Country Living and The Balance have the list.

However, do yourself a favor and call the specific restaurant to double check. It's usually up to the local owner.

Most IHOP's will stay open, but hours may be reduced. You can even get snowman pancakes! It's virtually the same deal at Denny's.

Most Starbucks are open -- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seem to be the Christmas hours.

Craving Italian instead of ham? Buca di Beppo will be open.

In addition, many locations have special holiday menus. Swap turkey for chicken wings. Most Buffalo Wild Wings locations will be open.

Have some red meat at Ruth's Chris. The steakhouse is open from noon until 9 p.m.

The best part of dining out is not doing the dishes.
