SeaWorld is cutting 350 jobs amid attendance struggles

SeaWorld is cutting 350 jobs in an effort to boost attendance, according to CNBC.

Most of the jobs cut involve administrative tasks, while jobs that deal with interaction with guests will not be impacted.

The move impacts about 2 percent of the amusement park company's 14,000-person headcount. Some of the slashed positions will be left unfilled.

CNBC reports the company will use savings from the layoffs toward growth initiatives like marketing to help increase park attendance.

It’s not the first time SeaWorld has been through rough waters. The amusement park has seen a decline in foot traffic since the 2013 documentary, "Blackfish," uncovered SeaWorld's treatment of orcas.
