Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson sell West Hollywood contemporary

In early 2014, about two years before they split up, long coupled actors Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson shelled out $2.9 million for a corner property on one of West Hollywood’s most sought-after streets, where they custom-built a wood, glass and stucco contemporary residence they listed for sale this year for $6 million and sold for a bit below $5.8 million.

Screened behind a high, mature hedge and electronic gates on a bit more than a quarter of an acre, the just shy of 5,000-square-foot, two-story residence offers four and potentially five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms plus a luxuriously appointed, two-story detached guesthouse. Open-concept interiors are composed around a massive freestanding double-sided stone fireplace and feature both polished concrete and wide-plank wood floors along with floor-to-ceiling glass panels in the living and dining areas that pivot open to a deep, shaded veranda and a lush expanse of lawn.

Take a look at their massive home in the slideshow below:

The completely self-contained guesthouse next to the swimming pool has a double-height living/dining room with a tile-accented fireplace, a full kitchen, a lofted bedroom with French doors to a Juliet balcony, a marble-floored bathroom and an attached single-car garage. The property was designed and landscaped to have minimal environmental impact via a rainwater-collection system, solar panels, heated floors and xeriscaped gardens.

Jackson continues to own a nearly 1.5-acre spread high in the Santa Monica Mountains between Malibu and Topanga he acquired in early 2002 for $865,000. Kruger, who has long maintained an apartment near the Quai Voltaire in Paris where fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld is her neighbor, upgraded her New York City digs, selling an East Village apartment for $1.11 million — well above its $985,000 asking price — and shelling out $4.2 million for a 2,000-square-foot floor-through apartment in a newly renovated, eco-friendly Second Empire cast-iron building in Tribeca.
