Baby born on flight gets free plane tickets for life

Look out, world, it seems like we've got a future jet setter on our hands!

A baby who was born on a Jet Airways flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Kochi, India, on Sunday has been awarded free plane tickets for life, courtesy of the airline.

New mom Cicymol Jose gave birth to her premature baby boy at an altitude of about 35,000 feet over the Arabian Sea, with assistance from crew members and Mini Wilson, a nurse who happened to be on board at the time.

After the child was successfully delivered, the Boeing 737 was diverted to Mumbai, where the mom and baby were taken to Holy Spirit Hospital in "good" condition.

Jet Airways shared the good news on Twitter shortly after the child was born with a sweet message addressed to the baby's dad in honor of Father's Day.

"They say, you are lucky when you are born with a silver spoon," read the cute announcement. "I say, you are lucky when you are born with wings to fly! Love, Baby On Board!"
