Give your dad the gift of free beer and steak for Father's Day this year

Updated

Most dads are pretty easy to please and it doesn't take much more than the basics to make them happy.

Give a guy (or anyone, really) some free food, booze, throw on his favorite TV show or sports game, and he'll probably be pretty content.

So if you're trying to figure out what to get the father figure in your life for Sunday's upcoming holiday (AKA Father's Day), why not give him exactly what you know will make him happy?

Nothing says "love you dad" more than an ice cold beer, right?

Thanks to a new initiative called #Hops4Pops by mobile shopping app Ibotta, you can do just that -- For free.

Here's how it works — Take your old man out for a cold one and upload the receipt to the Ibotta app. Instantly, $5 will be deposited into your dad's account, paying for the beer. The company is calling the initiative #Hops4Pops.

And what would a refreshing beer be without a nice, juicy steak to pair it with?

This year, Ruth's Chris steakhouse is handing out $25 gift cards to all dads who dine at the chain on either Saturday, June 17 or on actual Father's Day, June 18th.

The restaurant is also offering up Surf & Turf specials at select locations, all under $69, which is quite the steal for the amount of quality food you'll be able to hook up for dad.

So if you're late to to the gift-giving party and haven't figured out the perfect prez to celebrate the OG man in your life, you really can't go wrong with some grub and a brew — and we're sure a hug wouldn't hurt either!
