Your ZIP code can get you better rebates on your new car

If you're thinking about buying a new car, it may be your ZIP code that could give you the best rebate deal.

Just add your ZIP code during your online car search to determine what local or regional incentives you are eligible for.

Depending on your ZIP code, you may get more incentives offered on a specific vehicle in a specific area.

AIS Rebates says that a 2017 Buick Envision in Detroit had $2,000 dollars in incentives. While the same car in Tampa, Florida had $4,000.

But don't think you can just hop on over to another state for a better deal. Most car dealers require that you use the rebates in the area your car will be registered.

There are other special offers too. Automakers can have special rebates for college students and active military members.

Even large retailers like Costco and Wal-Mart are now working with select dealerships to help connect buyers and get them lower prices.

Many car buyers don't realize different states have different rebates on the same car, so that ZIP code can really pay off!
