Meet the robots making your online orders faster

Every order you place on line is a real person to pick or navigate massive warehouses to find the item you just ordered, pick it up to get packed and shipped for companies like Amazon -- in as little as an hour.

With the rise of two- and same-day delivery, the pressure is on the pickers to grab the correct items in a time frame that has been reduced from days to hours to minutes -- and it's becoming a difficult task. But Silicon Valley has the answer.

Robots have been given the tedious task of traveling from one side of a 40,000-square-foot warehouse to the other to examine products, choose them and fetch items. The result has incrased warehouse efficiency with orders up as much as 30 percent.
