Amazon CEO just became the world's second richest person

When it comes to the world's richest people on earth, one billionaire has just made quite a leap.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos climbed a couple spots to become the world's second wealthiest person with a net worth of $75.6 billion dollars, according to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index.

He scooted past retail giant Zara's Amancio Ortega and Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffett to claim second place.

Since Donald Trump was elected President, Bezos has added a whopping $10.2 billion dollars to his fortune and isn't stopping there.

The e-commerce juggernaut plans to buy the Dubai-based online retailer Souq.com.

Barclays Capital says that Amazon could become one of the first trillion dollar market-cap companies.

However, Bezos still has a ways to go if he wants to catch up to the world's richest man, Bill Gates, with a total of $86 billion.
