This $8 million (dog)house could be yours

They had us at "built-in dog kennel."

When Greg and Megan Hoyt designed their $8.1 million Paradise Valley, AZ home, their two Golden Labs weren't an afterthought. The pampered pooches got their own Spanish-tiled suite under the stairs. But that's the kind of house this is. Every feature was intentional — even the eight (yes, eight) garages.

Greg wouldn't call himself a collector, but does say he's bought and sold every kind of car. He likes anything with a motor, especially hot rods. Megan is more of an antiques collector, remembering fondly when she found the tiles that surround the kitchen fireplace. They came from Spain in the 1800s — Andalusia, to be exact.

Peek inside the Hoyts' gorgeous home:

The Hoyts have three sons, so their home always felt full on the weekends. The doors to the backyard were left open, letting in a warm Arizona breeze. The dogs would run in and out, along with a hoard of teenagers.

We'd join the hoard if we could. No digging through bushes to find your bocce ball — there's a sand court for that. There's also a putting green, and a pool that glows in the dark.

Still, the Hoyts have every reason to sell their Spanish Colonial. Their kids are grown, and 9,153 square feet is lot of house for two people.

But we have a feeling this house won't go quietly. There's too much barking and splashing for that.
