Trump vows to help keep women in the workforce

President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau used their first meeting to promise action to improve access to capital for women business owners and adopt policies to help women stay in the workforce.

The pair met in a roundtable with women business leaders, including first daughter Ivanka Trump -- and announced the creation of a Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders, an initiative meant to help businesses owned by women

"In order to create economic growth and lots of very good well-paying jobs, we must ensure that our economy is a place where women can work and thrive," Trump said Monday during roundtable talks with Trudeau and women business leaders.
