2 restaurant chains offering freebies on National Sandwich Day

Another made-up food holiday brings another free meal.

This time, it's National Sandwich Day, which falls on Thursday. Two major chains will observe the "holiday" by handing out freebies.

At Subway, you can enjoy a free sub with the purchase of any sub of equal or greater value and any drink. Additionally, Subway will donate money for one meal to the nonprofit Feeding America.
