Being a woman in the working world is a powerful thing.

It's also difficult.

Finding a company that allows for a healthy work-life balance, offers awesome benefits and the ability to keep a flexible schedule is ideal for any worker, especially for women who have to take into account things like maternity leave.

Thanks to Fortune, research has been conducted on exactly just which companies offer these compensations and perks.

Fortune surveyed just over 137,000 women at companies that had already been labeled each as a "Great Place to Work" by prior surveys conducted by the website.

Workplaces that made the final list had to have a high representation of women in their total employee population (as well as in higher up positions) in order to qualify.
