McDonald's has launched a small athleisure range to celebrate the Rio 2016 Olympics, AdNews reported.

The fast food retailer has been an official sponsor of the Olympics since 1976.

The range, dubbed "Legendswear," ties in with one of its marketing tagline for this year's event: "We're for Legends."

It includes a $70 (Australian dollars) hooded vest top and a $50 (Australian dollars) pair of track pants, daubed in a floral pattern that subtly mixes in some of its popular breakfast items. McDonald's partnered with Australian sports fashion brand We Are Handsome to produce the clothes.

The sponsorship activation has been led by McDonald's Australia division and unfortunately for fans of the garments outside the country, the Legendswear eBay store states that the items will only be posted within Australia.

All proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House charities, which provide housing close to children's hospitals.

Here's how McDonald's, which is affectionately referred to as "Maccas" in Australia, has been promoting the stunt.
