Last week was a busy one in the tech sector.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about his plans for the company's $19 billion buyout of WhatsApp, while Apple announced its much anticipated next product event will take place on October 16th. This wasn't the only Apple-related news as GT Advanced shocked investors with an announcement that the Apple sapphire supplier is filing for bankruptcy and GTAT shares cratered on the news.
