1 Reason Samsung's Galaxy S5 Won't Top Apple's iPhone 6

Tech giant Samsung's Galaxy S5 is likely to be the toast of the tech talk this weekend, but don't expect it to top Apple's iPhone 6 later this year.

Apple and Samsung are stuck in a head-to-head battle for dominance in hugely profitable but increasingly saturated market for high-end handsets. But unfortunately for Samsung, the Galaxy S5 appears to be more about playing catchup to Apple than leapfrogging it. And that, as tech investors should already know, bodes poorly for Samsung when Apple unveils its highly anticipated iPhone 6 later this year.

Enjoy it while it lasts
This isn't to say that Samsung's Galaxy S5 isn't a fine device in its own right, especially when stacked up against other top-shelf Android devices. The Galaxy S5 ups the ante in both screen and back-facing camera quality. It's also early to embrace the coming glut of health-integrated smartphone apps, while also being water resistant. That's nothing to sneeze at.

However, as Samsung should know all too well, the real competition is Apple, and the Galaxy S5 fails to raise the stakes ahead of the iPhone 6. According to the rumor mill, Apple has some major upgrades in store for the iPhone 6 that should help it once again remain a development cycle ahead of Samsung as tech and telecom analyst Andrew Tonner argues in the video below.

Bigger than phones: Are you ready to profit from this $14.4 trillion revolution?
Let's face it: Every investor wants to get in on revolutionary ideas before they hit it big. Like buying PC maker Dell in the late 1980s, before the consumer computing boom. Or purchasing stock in e-commerce pioneer Amazon.com in the late 1990s, when it was nothing more than an upstart online bookstore. The problem is, most investors don't understand the key to investing in hyper-growth markets. The real trick is to find a small-cap "pure play" and then watch as it grows in EXPLOSIVE lockstep with its industry. Our expert team of equity analysts has identified one stock that's poised to produce rocket-ship returns with the next $14.4 TRILLION industry. Click here to get the full story in this eye-opening report.
