Halcon Resources hasn't been able to find that coveted third productive shale formation it has wanted for the past few years. After weak results in places like the Woodbine formation and the Uinta Basin, it is tryintg its hand in one more place, the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale. While the company has not issued much data on this new position, investors can get a peek at what to expect by taking a look at two other players in the region: Encana and Goodrich Petroleum
