Interpreting Trends From Travelers Companies' Earnings

As earnings season continues, more and more insurers are set to report their third-quarter results. With Travelers Companies  as one of the first to do so, it's easy for investors to glean some larger marketwide trends from its results. Though each company will have specific challenges ahead of it, American International Group and Markel will likely be facing similar pressures seen in Travelers' report.
