Goodyear Names a New CFO, Promotes Other Execs
Goodyear Tire & Rubber has made several changes in its executive suite, the most notable of which is the appointment of a new chief financial officer. The company announced that Laura Thompson will be its executive vice president and CFO, replacing Darren Wells in both roles. Wells, in turn, has been named president of the company's Europe, Middle East, and Africa division. He displaces Arthur de Bok in that position. De Bok will become senior vice president.
Meanwhile, Thompson's current position of vice president of finance, North America, will be filled by Damon Audia. At the moment, Audia is Goodyear's senior vice president of business development.
All appointments will be effective on December 1.
CEO Richard Kramer, commenting on the appointments, said that they "place proven Goodyear leaders in key roles that will enable us to stay on our Strategy Roadmap and maintain our positive momentum."
