Time Warner Cable Teams up with Child Advocacy Organizations for Cybersecurity Awareness Month Campaign
Through Collaborations with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Common Sense Media, Time Warner Cable Raises Awareness of Cybersecurity, Cyberbullying and Related Issues
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Time Warner Cable has teamed up with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and Common Sense Media (CSM) to launch a new campaign to help increase awareness of the topic of cybersecurity and ways parents can help protect their children from online dangers.
The campaign provides parents and children with tips and resources that help prepare children to behave responsibly when confronted with issues such as cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online exploitation, and other important topics to protect their safety and identities in a digital world. Starting today, a new "Online Safety" portal, filled with resources and information, can be found at www.TWCCentral.com/safer. The available resources provided by NetSmartz® (a NCMEC program that provides children with interactive, educational safety resources) and Common Sense Media, will include tips sheets, videos and articles.

Customers will also receive a "Cyberbullying Awareness Quick Guide" that includes tips and recommended tools from Common Sense Media.
