Avnet Technology Solutions Introduces Avnet Configured, HP Converged Infrastructure Solutions for Channel Partners in the U.S. and Canada
Exclusive offerings from Avnet help HP solution providers accelerate the converged infrastructure sales cycle
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Industry analyst firm IDC predicts that worldwide converged infrastructure sales will reach $17.8 billion by 2016, representing a 40 percent compound annual growth rate.1 To help U.S. and Canadian HP solution provider partners capitalize on this market opportunity, Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), unveiled six Avnet configured HP Converged Infrastructure solutions, based on HP VirtualSystem. These new solutions are available exclusively for Avnet's HP channel partners and are designed to accelerate converged infrastructure initiatives, simplify system management and improve IT performance for end customers.

These Avnet configured HP Converged Infrastructure solutions combine HP technologies, such as HP BladeSystem and HP ProLiant DL rack mount servers, HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage and HP networking. These solutions provide pre-configured architecture and management models. The solutions include six scalable, ready-to-implement configurations available through Avnet's HP partner community that are optimized for small, midsize and large virtualization deployments ranging from 96 to 320+ virtual machines.

These solutions include HP installation and implementation services. Additionally, Avnet provides partners with optional migration and support services related to the new solutions. Partners can also leverage the Avnet Technical Army to further hone their expertise. The Avnet Technical Army can augment partners' pre-sales technical staff, help partners gain a deeper understanding of HP products, facilitate technology demonstrations and develop configurations and systems designs. The services and resources are provided by a team that holds more than 500 HP certifications and includes 100+ HP technical consultants, solution architects and infrastructure services professionals.
