The Future of Sony and Activision
Activision Blizzard has been in the news a lot these last few days after news broke that it was buying independence from its parent company Vivendi. But that may have masked the company's earnings report late last week, and no one interested in the gaming sector should miss it -- Call of Duty and Skylanders provided the company with support, as World of Warcraft subscriber numbers continued to fall; but will that be enough to support the company in the second half of 2013?
Sony released earnings last week, as well, and things aren't looking great for the company -- sales are down, and R&D spending is up heading into the newest console cycle. Will this spell disaster for Sony shareholders?
