Ultratech Misses on the Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.03. The five earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.04 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.03 for Q2 were 93% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.41 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 47.3%, 690 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 2.6%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 2.0%, much worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $42.7 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.04.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $190.3 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.60.
