NuStar Energy Misses on Revenues but Beats on EPS
NuStar Energy (NYS: NS) reported earnings on July 26. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended June 30 (Q2), NuStar Energy missed estimates on revenues and beat expectations on earnings per share.

EPS came in at $0.27. The 12 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.22 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.27 for Q2 were 350% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.06 per share. GAAP EPS were $0.28 for Q2 against -$3.56 per share for the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 15.5%, 1,000 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 8.2%, 630 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 2.4%, much better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $942.1 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.46.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $3.84 billion. The average EPS estimate is $1.40.
