California United Bank Manager Joins Anaheim Family YMCA Board of Directors

Steve Corona, Anaheim branch Commercial Lending Manager, continues CUB's commitment to youth

ENCINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- California United Bank ("CUB" or "the Company"), a subsidiary of CU Bancorp (NAS: CUNB) , today announced Steve Corona, Commercial Lending Manager of CUB's Anaheim branch, has been appointed to the Board of Directors at the Anaheim Family YMCA.

The Anaheim Family YMCA Board of Directors is charged with shaping the future of the YMCA, which has served the community for 100 years, offering character-building programs for youth and families. "Our Board is a highly respected group of community leaders who serve local youth and families every day," noted YMCA President and CEO, Paul Andersen. "Upon meeting Steve, it was immediately evident he shares that passion and we are thrilled to add him to our Board."

Mr. Corona, a graduate of CSU-Fullerton with ten years of banking experience, grew up in a relatively low-income section of La Habra and recognizes the significant impact a YMCA would have had in his community. "For my friends and I, having after school community programs would have made success a lot easier to grasp and attain," commented Mr. Corona. "My career accomplishments are a result of my education, a strong work ethic and a desire to improve, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to mentor the youth of the YMCA and pass that message along to them."

Mr. Corona's appointment to the YMCA board continues California United Bank's strong legacy of investing in the youth of Southern California. In addition to supporting numerous nonprofit organizations around Los Angeles and Orange County, CUB hosts an annual golf tournament in October at Sherwood Country Club to benefit youth charities. In 2012, the tournament raised $315,000 for three local charities. "From the moment I started with CUB, it was obvious how committed they are to youth organizations. They have been extremely supportive of my involvement with the YMCA and it is an honor to represent them on the board," concluded Mr. Corona.
