Ariana Grande wants to buy Florence Pugh’s ‘Midsommar’ dress
It turns out pop superstar Ariana Grande is a bit of a horror buff.
Production company A24 announced it will be auctioning off some of its most memorable on-screen outfits on April 27 in order to raise money for various charities throughout New York City — including the FDNY Foundation, the New York City Food Bank and NYC Health and Hospitals.
Among the costumes being auctioned off are the heirloom doormat from “Hereditary,” Gabe’s pool party googles from “Eighth Grade” and the extravagant May Queen flower dress from “Midsommar.”

According to BuzzFeed, the 26-year-old “Thank U, Next” singer has her eye on the dress, which was worn by actress Florence Pugh in the film, and is covered in 10,000 colorful silk flowers.
“The amount of ppl that have texted me this,” Grande said in an Instagram story. “I’m crying. Also, I’m bidding as soon as possible."

Pugh encouraged Grande to make the purchase.
“DO IT!” Pugh responded on Instagram. “Halloween will never be the same,” she said, adding, “It even has hand holes for wine.”
The “Imagine” singer revealed she already planned to have the dress made, reports BuzzFeed. Grande previously joked she was a bit obsessed with the film.
“Do you think it’s okay that ‘Midsommar’ is my favorite bedtime movie at the moment or should I seek help immediately,” she tweeted last November.

That Grande is a fan of 2019’s critically-acclaimed “Midsommar” is unsurprising. The folk horror flick explored womanhood, grief and relationships — themes often found in the singer’s music discography.
Plus, Grande has been a long-time horror fan. Last Halloween, she wore prosthetics to transform into a character from the iconic “Twilight Zone” episode, “Eye of the Beholder.” In 2015, she also appeared in Ryan Murphy’s gory television satire “Scream Queens.”
