Ramona Singer shares details on quarantine with her ex-husband: 'There is still a chemistry'
Perhaps more than any other Real Housewife, Ramona Singer is giving Bravo fans what they want as they continue social distancing.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” star has been spending the last several weeks sharing updates with her Instagram followers while unexpectedly quarantined with her ex-husband, Mario, and their daughter, Avery, at Mario’s apartment in Florida.
Between her cleaning his home in a white slip dress, teaching co-star Dorinda Medley how to properly brush her teeth and having home-cooked meals every night with Avery and Mario, Ramona has been providing fresh and hilarious content for her fans on a daily basis. It’s impossible not to notice that she seems happier than ever.
“I’m doing really well. I’m very blessed. I really thank God every day,” the reality star told In The Know’s Gibson Johns over the phone. “I’m protecting myself, my family and I’m trying to keep an up attitude about it and a smile on my face.”
“We’re all getting along,” she added later. “We haven’t had an argument.”
Enjoying some fresh air and escaping the craziness of the world. A non public beach in front of the place I’m staying . Hope you all are doing ok! Xo 😘🙏🙏🙏🙏 to say I am scared is an understatement but we need to keep smiling and I do for the hour a day I walk on the beach when not isolating inside for 23 hrs ...

Ramona’s current level of contentment is so apparent, in fact, that some have wondered how she’s been able to get to this point, particularly with her ex, after everything she went through in her divorce, which came after Mario cheated on her with another woman.
“So many women — when I got divorced from my ex-husband — they said, ‘How did you get out of bed in the morning? How did you survive?’ […] I go, ‘You know what? It’s called one step at a time,'” the “RHONY” star explained of her relentless positivity. “I get out of bed, put on my gym clothes, go for a walk, go to the gym. You have to get out of bed! And women, you’ve got two choices: Stay in bed and cry all day or get out there. I chose to get out there. [It’s] just like with what’s going on in this world today. You’ve got two choices: If you want to stay in bed and cry and get fat and eat and just, you know, don’t shave, no. Do something proactive. You know, whatever it can be.”

“Talk to people, keep them happy, interact with your friends and make them happy. Keep a routine. Do whatever you want to do. Donate money. I don’t know. I mean, do something proactive,” she continued. “And then people say to me, ‘How is it that you and Mario are friends now? We can’t believe it! We still see a chemistry, a spark there.'”
Does Ramona agree with that assessment? Yes, she admitted, but any hope of them getting back together is unlikely.
“There is still a chemistry. There is still a spark there. That’s why we were married for over 20 years,” Ramona agreed, matter-of-factly. “Will we get married again and partner up again? I don’t think so at all. But I respect him. I love him. And I like him.”
In Ramona’s eyes, her ability to put one foot in front of the other, take things day by day and eventually get to a good place with her ex-husband is the perfect example of why “Real Housewives of New York City” fans have gravitated towards her for over a decade now.
“Life is about evolving. And, I think once you stop evolving, you’re like, you know, it’s like a shock. You’ve got to keep moving or you die,” she explained to ITK. “I believe it’s given me longevity on the show, is that I’m true to me and fans can relate to me. I’m unfiltered, and I’ve evolved.”
Something to look forward to! #RHONY is back April 2nd! 💃🏼 @bravotv

While Ramona has been giving Bravo fans more than enough content on her social media channels to keep us entertained as we’re stuck in our homes, we’re going to be seeing a lot more of her starting on April 2, when the 12th season of “RHONY” premieres. And, the way she sees it, this season will be a lot less serious — and much more fun — than the most recent several seasons.
“Season 12 will be very unique in so many ways. And number one it’s going to be much more entertaining than the past two seasons, because we never get dark. It doesn’t get dark like we had the past two seasons,” she said. “You’re going to see, you know, some pretty big altercations among us. But it gets resolved, and there’s no deep-seated darkness.”
When we asked her if the lightness of season 12 was due to Bethenny Frankel leaving the show before the new season started filming last fall, the Ageless by Ramona founder saw it both ways.
“I don’t know if it’s because of her that it doesn’t get dark, but I know because she isn’t on this season, that all of us feel lighter and brighter and more relaxed and therefore we can show ourselves and feel more comfortable in our settings and in our skin,” Ramona said. “Because Bethenny was a very strong character on the show, and she is a great person, and I respect her tremendously.”
