Britney Spears looks 'so happy' in bikini-clad yoga video on Instagram

Britney Spears is headed into 2020 with her head held high, ready to focus on her health and fitness.

The "Gimme More" hitmaker, 38, kicked off the new year by sharing a video of herself doing yoga at home in a bikini and tennis shoes, delivering a sweet update to fans at the beginning of the clip.

"Today I’m outside, and I’m about to do a little bit of yoga to open up my back and my chest, and I’m out here with my dogs," she said with a smile. "We’re going to have a beautiful day!"

After quickly showing her two little dogs running around her lawn at home, Britney starts dancing in front of the camera and then hits her yoga mat to do some sultry yoga moves.

In the caption of the post, the singer revealed that she's going to be doing a lot more yoga this year, in addition to trying to improve her speed and try to get back to the shape she was in when she was in high school.

"In 2020 I will be doing a lot more acro yoga and the basics for yoga …. I’m a beginner and it’s kind of hard to let go …. learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body!!!" she said. "I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving !!!! Thank God for Mother Nature …. she’s really no joke …. she grounds me and helps me find my feet and always opens my mind when I step outside …. !!!! I was lucky today with this beautiful weather."

"I just flew in from a trip with my family and I ran a 6.8 speed outside my house for a 100 meter yard dash ... I did 6 in high school so I’m trying to gain speed !!!! I hurt my thigh so I apologize if my legs look swollen," Britney added. "I hope you all have a wonderful new year and GOD SPEED !!!!! PS I’m so cool with my tennis shoes and yoga it’s the new thing you know !!!!"

In the comments of the post, Britney's fans praised her for the video, with some person gushing, "You look so happy! And your smile is breathtaking! You make my soul so peaceful with your wonderful attitude."

Others simply commented with heart and smiley face emojis.

It's unclear what else is in the cards for Britney in 2020, with no known work commitments lined up following a tumultuous year that saw the cancellation of her second Las Vegas residency before it even began, a stint at a mental health facility and a fan-driven conspiracy theory that she was being held against her will.

That being sad, around the singer's 38th birthday in December, insiders told ET that she's been doing much better in recent months.

"Britney struggles to keep her life on track, but right now she’s been doing incredibly well. Her family is very proud of the steps she’s taken to get where she is today," the insider said. "Britney’s been following her doctor's orders and is in a very stable place at the moment."

"She is trying to keep life simple and spend time with [her boyfriend] Sam [Asghari] and her kids," the source went on. "She wants to just have a nice time with family."
