Eddie Murphy, 58, says women think it's 'sexy' that he has 10 kids

Eddie Murphy knows that being a father of 10 kids raises more than a few eyebrows.

The "Dolemite Is My Name" actor appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week, where he opened up about welcoming his tenth child last December with current fiancée Paige Butcher, and the varied reactions he gets when people find out that he has 10 kids within a 30-year age gap.

"Men kind of look at me like, 'He’s crazy. How much did that s— cost?'" he laughed. "And women, it’s kind of like, something sexy about it I think. 'Eddie Murphy must be doing this thing. Eddie Murphy be getting it in.'"

"It seems okay," Murphy, 58, said of handling having such a large family. "I like it, I'm happy with it."

Murphy's 10 children are with three women: He shares Eric, 30, with Paulette McNeely, and kids Bria, 29, Miles Mitchell, 26, Shayne Audra, 24, Zola Ivy, 19, and Bella Zahra, 17, with his ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell Murphy. The "SNL" alum and his fiancée, 40, share Izzy Oona, 3, and Max Charles, 1.

During his sit-down with DeGeneres, Murphy also discussed his reasoning for returning to "Saturday Night Live" as a host later this fall, garnering Oscar buzz for his performance as Rudy Ray Moore in "Dolemite" and the lasting impact of "Coming to America."

You can stream "Dolemite Is My Name" on Netflix now.
