Toni Braxton pays tribute to herself at the 2019 American Music Awards

Toni Braxton was a dream in all white during her American Music Awards performance on Sunday.

The artist returned to the stage to pay tribute to herself as well as celebrate the 25th anniversary of winning her very first AMA for Adult Contemporary New Artist. While Braxton has won seven American Music Awards since 1994, this year also marked her return to the show since winning her first award.

As expected, the soulful singer stole the show with a heartfelt rendition of her timeless single, "Unbreak My Heart." Braxton appeared in a strapless, all-white gown and sported her iconic pixie cut. Her showstopping performance included her positioned on top of a white platform while dancers dressed in white suits flowed around her with white violins.

Prior to her appearance, Braxton reminisced on her first time at the AMAs on Instagram. "Where does all the time go?" she captioned with a photo of her after winning two awards.

It's undeniable that Braxton is a living legend -- and nearly three decades after receiving her first AMA, she managed to give a performance rivaling those 30 years her junior.

Braxon is currently on her "As Long As I Live" tour which is on its international leg.
