'Law & Order: SVU' star allegedly threatened to murder 'abusive' ex's dog: 'I am going to kill him in front of you'

Actress Diane Neal, who is known for her prominent roles on "Law & Order: SVU" and in the "NCIS" franchise, threatened to shoot both her ex-boyfriend and hang his dog, Charlie, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. The actress says her comments were made under extreme duress after suffering from years of abuse.

"You know what? I am going to f--king murder Charlie in front of you," Neal is reportedly heard yelling in a 2017 audio recording made by her ex, J.B. Benn. "I am going to kill him in front of you. Charlie, I'm going to kill you."

To Benn, she continues, "I am going to kill you or I am going to sue the f--k out of you. I am going to make your life as miserable as you have made mine. The difference is, unlike me, you have nothing to lose. Because your life is this big. You have no friends. You have no family. You don’t have anything to lose. Nobody loves you. Me, I have already f--king lost everything. I now have nothing to lose and I am going to take you down with me."

In a subsequent recording made in March 2018, Neal is heard saying that Benn, "the least fun person I have ever met," refuses to connect with others: "Which is why I am going to punish you with death and kill your f--king dog."

Neal has a series of damning accusations of her own. In her own lawsuit, filed earlier this month, she describes Benn as a "manipulative and maniacal fraudster" who abused her pets, including slashing her toy poodle's throat, blaming the wound on a cat, and then beating the cat and bragging about it. In addition, she says Benn physically and sexually abused her and defrauded her of millions of dollars.

Benn, who is a magician, is also accused of sexually assaulting Neal while she was asleep and recording the act on his phone. The alleged incident took place after Neal broke up with him, she said.

The actress said that listening to her ex's recordings was upsetting because her words were "not nice, it's not kind, it's not rational. But the day that tape was made, I had been abused all day ... He has taken almost all of my work, my friends, my money, he's interfered in my life, deprived me of work, contacts and friends. No more."

The former couple met in 2013 and were in a relationship through 2018.

Also tangentially pulled into the lawsuits is Neal's February 2018 campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York. Emails sent by her former campaign manager were among the documents submitted in Benn's court exhibit. According to the messages, Neal vented about her "Law & Order" co-stars, saying they are all "awful people," except for Ice-T.

Neal told Page Six that there is no truth to these statements, saying, "I have never talked about the cast members like this. It’s salacious and untrue."
