Sarah Palin reunites with ex after 'devastating' divorce filing to welcome new grandchildren

Sarah Palin reunited with her ex this week to celebrate the arrival of daughter, Willow's, twin babies.

The former vice-presidential Republican candidate's 25-year-old daughter welcomed twin girls Banks and Blaise on Monday, who she shares with husband Ricky Bailey.

After giving birth in Anchorage, Alaska, Willow was visited in the hospital by a bunch of her family members, including parents Sarah and Todd Palin, who reunited after Sarah called Todd's recent divorce filing "devastating."

"Banks&Blaise!! BlessingX2," she captioned a post that included a photo of she and Todd holding the newborn twins, as well as photos of other family members who visited. "Congratulations Willow&Ricky = and then there were four."

In an interview with Christian author James Dobson earlier this month, Sarah revealed that she found out about her husband seeking a divorce over email and said that the discovery made it feel like she "got shot."

"I found out from an email from an attorney saying that she was hired and that was on June 19, I’ll never forget it," she said. "Then, on Todd’s birthday, a week after our 31st anniversary is when he filed, yeah. Oh, yeah. It’s not easy to talk about."

Todd filed for divorce from Sarah on September 6, citing "incompatibility of temperament between the parties," but Sarah said in the interview that their 31-year marriage isn't "over, over," as they're currently "going through counseling."

They have five children together: Track, 30, Bristol, 29, Willow, 25, Piper, 18, and Trig, 11.

Willow first announced her pregnancy back in May. She and Bailey got engaged in December 2017 and tied the knot the next September. Her older sister, Bristol, is a mother of three: She has a 10-year-old son, Tripp, and two daughters named Sailor, 3, and Atlee, 2.
