Anderson .Paak, Mark Ronson, Q-Tip & more to headline 4xFAR festival in Coachella Valley

A brand-new festival is coming to the Coachella Valley.

On Jan. 18 and 19, 2020, 4xFAR -- “a curated live music and adventure festival” -- is slated to kick off at the Empire Grand Oasis with a lineup that includes Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Mark Ronson & Q-Tip, Young The Giant, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Sofi Tukker, Maya Jane Coles, Tijuana Panthers, Mahalia, LP Giobbi and Chappaqua Wrestling, with more to be announced. The event’s music curator is KCRW host Garth Trinidad.

“4XFAR is set to be the first experience of its kind in lifestyle focused entertainment -- an intimate, celebratory adventure where guests can taste the crosspollinated nectar of music, art, adventure and culture in a gorgeous oasis under the desert sky,” said Trinidad in a statement. “I'm elated to be in the mix as music curator!”

Produced by the Corso Agency and presented by Land Rover, the festival will additionally feature interactive experiences curated by Outside Magazine, including fly-fishing demos, wilderness survival, outdoor photography workshops, mountain biking, slacklining, yoga, panel discussions, premium dining, climbing and bouldering, spirit and wine tastings and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the 2020 Land Rover Defender and other Land Rover vehicles on 15 acres of “purpose-built off-road courses," with heritage vehicles from the automaker’s 71-year history also on display.

The festival’s panel lineup includes big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton, Olympic volleyball player Gabby Reece and pilots from the spaceflight company Virgin Galactic. Additionally, artwork by muralist James Goldcrown will be showcased throughout the festival, with at least one limited edition merch item for sale to all ticketholders. Winners of the now-defunct automotive competition Camel Trophy will also be on hand at the event to sign autographs.

“For 25 years I have had the opportunity to work and learn from some of the best festival producers in the world,” said Corso Agency CEO and founder David Corso in a statement. “We had the chance to take our deep music festival knowledge and push the boundaries of social gatherings to create something different and special with 4xFAR, partnering with Land Rover whose core values are rooted in going above and beyond, enabled us to make this a reality. 4xFAR will deliver an eclectic mix of music, compelling programming, and a magical location.”
