Miley Cyrus teases that she 'met a couple new potential partners' in hilarious haunted house Instagram after back-to-back splits

Miley Cyrus is on the market -- and she's joking about her single status with her fans.

The "Slide Away" singer ventured to a haunted house this week to commemorate it being the month of Halloween, and the caption of one of her Instagram photos from the outing playfully teased the tabloid coverage of her recent relationship foibles.

With her leg wrapped around a zombie dummy and her tongue sticking out, Miley told her followers that she "met a couple new potential partners."

"Felt like I was on 'The Bachelorette,'" she added, along with a skull emoji.

In other photos she shared from her outing, Cyrus posed with a bunch of giant pumpkins and hung out with goats.

"OCTOBER 1st was LIT," she wrote on the first photo, adding in the second that "last night was literally the G.O.A.T."

The posts came less than two weeks after news broke that she and Kaitlynn Carter had gone their separate ways, and insiders say that the relationship was simply too much too soon for the singer following the dissolution of her marriage to Liam Hemsworth in August.

"They moved far too quickly," a source told ET, adding that she had been "lean[ing] on Kaitlynn throughout the divorce."

In the end, she felt she just needed some independence.

"Miley loves her autonomy and is a free spirit," a source added. "And she doesn't plan to remarry anytime soon."

"Miley made the final decision to split with Kaitlynn. Her relationship with Kaitlynn is over and she wants to be on her own," they went on. "Miley wasn't looking long term and when Kaitlynn realized Miley was done, it was a total shock."

Cyrus' whirlwind romance with Carter came right after her marriage to Hemsworth, which lasted under a year. They had been together on and off for a decade.

It appears as though the "We Can't Stop" hitmaker will be channeling the emotions from her rollercoaster of a year into new music, revealing to fans on Twitter that she was back in the studio.

"I am so f--king inspired right now," she said of a selfie from a recording booth.
