Ben Affleck spends 3-hour dinner with Laurene Powell-Jobs, widow of Steve Jobs: report

Why cut short a great conversation?

Ben Affleck reportedly spent a three-hour dinner this week with Laurene Powell-Jobs, who is the widow of late Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The two enjoyed a lengthy meal at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, according to the Daily Mail.

The two arrived and exited separately, and a Page Six insider describes them as "friends."

Powell-Jobs, who founded the Emerson Collective, is involved in multiple global philanthropy causes, including Affleck's own Eastern Congo Initiative. She's one of two individuals listed as an investor on the charity's website. (Cindy McCain is the other singular investor named; a few larger organizations are also listed.)

Powell-Jobs dated former Washington, D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty in 2013, according to the Washington Post, but has largely stayed out of the spotlight.

Affleck has been publicly spotted with a handful of women since his 2015 separation from ex-wife Jennifer Garner. He dated "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus on-and-off for several years before calling it quits in spring 2019, and in mid-2018 (during an apparent break from Shookus) he had a brief fling with Playboy model Shauna Sexton.

Powell-Jobs met Steve Jobs in 1989 when he delivered a lecture at Stanford Business School, where she was an MBA student at the time. They would go onto wed in 1991 and welcome three children.

Jobs died in 2011 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
