Angelina Jolie and kids hit 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' red carpet together: 'They're my friends'

The premiere of "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" was a family affair for Angelina Jolie.

The actress, who stars in the film alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer, stepped out for the Los Angeles premiere on Monday night in a custom Atelier Versace dress alongside four out of her five children.

Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne were all smiles posing with their 44-year-old mother on the red carpet, laughing with one another as paparazzi snapped photos of them all together. Maddox, 18, wasn't there because he recently started college in South Korea.

Jolie opened up about the children she shares with ex Brad Pitt to ET on the red carpet.

"They wrangle me," she laughed. "Honestly, they're more together [than I am]. Zahara's the most organized in the family. [...] Isn't she gorgeous? She's growing up so beautifully."

"It's just so wonderful to have their support," she went on. "They're my friends."

"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" is Jolie's first live-acting role in a feature film since 2014's original "Maleficent" film. It hits theaters on October 18, 2019.
