Prince Harry, Meghan Markle receive warm welcome as they kick off 10-day royal tour in South Africa

The Sussexes are in South Africa.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched down in Cape Town on Monday, kicking off their 10-day royal tour of Africa that will include 35 official engagements in four different countries. The trip marks their first royal tour as a family, as the couple brought their 4-month-old son, Archie Harrison, with them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first stop was at the Nyanga township, where they were set to take a workshop run by Justice Desk, a local NGO that teaches children about their rights, self-defense and female empowerment training for young girls. People reports that the organization is supported by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, which Harry and Meghan are president and vice-president of, respectively.

As royals expect Omid Scobie noted on Twitter, their first visit "brings together two of the couple's long-standing interests -- youth leadership and women's rights."

Holding hands as as they received a warm welcome by locals, Harry and Meghan were all smiles as they knelt down to greet two little boys who they did a little dance with to the music playing.

Both Meghan and Harry also delivered speeches upon their arrival, with Meghan declaring, "While I am here with my husband as a member of the Royal Family, I am here with you as a woman, as a wife, as a woman of color and as your sister."

During his speech, Harry said that, "Meghan and I are inspired by your resilience, your sense of community and belief in a better future."

The former "Suits" actress donned black-and-white wrap dress made by Mayamiko, which is a fair trade brand from Malawhi. She paired the chic look with her favorite black Castañer wedges and put her hair in a simple ponytail.

The new parents left their son in the care of a nanny for their first official appearance. They're set to attend several more engagements in Cape Town over the next few days.
