Alec Baldwin, 61, will welcome yet another child as wife Hilaria announces pregnancy

Alec Baldwin is going to be buying a whole lot of Christmas gifts in the coming years.

The 61-year-old actor and his wife, Hilaria, confirmed this week that they're expecting their fifth child together. The happy news comes five months after Hilaria shared her heartbreak over miscarrying in April.

"It is still very early...but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me," Hilaria, 35, wrote on Instagram. "The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy -- especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring. We want to share this news as we are excited and don't want to hide the pregnancy."

In addition to his four young children with Hilaria -- Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 1 -- Alec is also dad to 23-year-old Ireland Baldwin, whose mother is Kim Basinger.

Baldwin often jokes about being an older father of young children, and the subject of his age definitely didn't go unaddressed during his Comedy Central roast. He also weathered a few jabs from his oldest daughter, with whom he's had a famously messy relationship through her life: "A lot of people only know my dad as an angry guy, but he’s more than some lunatic who loses his temper," she quipped. "He also loses Emmys. And Oscars. And custody of his firstborn child."

To his credit, Baldwin has taken notable strides in more recent years and appears to have learned from his past mistakes as he parents his younger children. His life, he says, revolves around them.

“We have had four kids in four-and-a-half years and we have to adjust to where it’s all about our kids," he said at the SAG Awards in January.
