Britney Spears is pin-up perfection in yellow bikini snapshot on Instagram

Britney Spears never lets a bikini go un-photographed, and her latest snapshot is leaving fans envious of both her physique and her surroundings: The pop star looks every bit the pin-up model while perched by a pool, red mountains and forest in the distance.

The singer didn't reveal where exactly she is, but she may have snapped the pic during her recent solo retreat: "On a much needed vacay by myself!" she shared online last week.

Spears' latest photos are decidedly serene, and she's certainly overdue for some peace of mind. It's been a difficult year for the 37-year-old with many private struggles coming to light in recent months. Back in January, Spears canceled her scheduled Las Vegas shows and announced an "indefinite work hiatus" amid issues related to her father's poor health.

In the weeks that followed, rumors began to swirl about Spears' own well-being as conflicting stories emerged in the tabloids. Multiple reports alleged that doctors were having trouble figuring out how to best medicate Spears. As speculation reached a fervor, her manager claimed the singer might not ever perform again.

It remains unclear how the dust will settle in regards to her legal conservatorship.

Spears also recently lost a portion of custody of the children she shares with ex Kevin Federline.
