'Terminator' star Linda Hamilton has no qualms about 15 years of celibacy

Linda Hamilton, who reprises her role as Sarah Connor in this year's new "Terminator," has no qualms about more than a decade of celibacy.

Hamilton, 62, nonchalantly referred to her abstinent lifestyle during a revealing interview with the New York Times. Sex, she said, has not been particularly important to her in a long time.

"I’ve been celibate for at least 15 years. One loses track, because it just doesn’t matter — or at least it doesn’t matter to me," Hamilton said.

She continued, "I have a very romantic relationship with my world every day and the people who are in it."

The actress, who's largely stayed out of the spotlight since the late 1990s, has effectively kept her personal life private. She was hesitant, she said, to re-enter the public eye for "Terminator: Dark Fate."

Hamilton was previously married twice: She wed actor Bruce Abbott in 1982, and they divorced in 1989. Nearly a decade later, she would marry director James Cameron, with whom she worked on the original "Terminator" films.

Hamilton and Cameron divorced in 1999.
