Kevin Hart’s wife says he’s doing ‘great’ amid reports he had back surgery after car crash

Kevin Hart’s wife said he’s going to be “fine” as reports emerged that the comedian underwent surgery following a serious car crash.

Eniko Hart told reporters as she walked into the hospital that her husband is doing “great” and is “going to be just fine," as seen in video published Monday by TMZ.

She also said Hart, 40, was awake.

The video was posted shortly after TMZ, citing a source, reported Hart was recovering from a back surgery that he had on Sunday.

Hart suffered “major back injuries” in the crash in Southern California early Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was riding as a passenger in his own 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when the driver lost control of the vehicle in the West Valley area of Los Angeles County.

The car went down an embankment near Mulholland Highway, and the driver and another passenger were trapped inside the car following the crash.

Hart and the driver were hospitalized after the accident.
