Hoda Kotb announces 'Today' show return date

Hoda's coming back!

Savannah Guthrie's "Today" show co-anchor announced on her Instagram on Tuesday that she's ending her maternity leave next month to return to the NBC morning show.

"Hi, guys. Guess what? It’s time to get my roots done; I’m coming back to work," Kotb, 55, shared. "I’m going to be there on September the 3rd, right after Labor Day. You guys, I’m so excited."

Kotb adopted her second daughter, Hope Catherine, in the spring and has been on maternity leave to spend time with her young daughters (she's also mother to Haley Joy, 2) and her boyfriend, Joel Schiffman.

"Look, I'm not gonna lie this probably has been the best summer of my entire life with these two kids," she smiled. "I’ve loved every second of it, but you know what else I’m going to love? Coming back to you guys.

"So I am getting ready, I’m setting my alarm. 3:15 a.m.," she finished. "Okay? We’ll be back in business. I love you guys, and I cannot wait to see you."
