Bella Thorne is directing an adult film — and her fans from her Disney Channel days are shook

Updated

Bella Thorne is full of surprises — and the latest is that she is directing an adult film.

The Disney Channel alum — an actress, singer and author — has partnered with Pornhub for her directorial debut. Her short film, Her & Him, will be part of the site’s Visionaries Director’s Series and debut at the Odenburg Film Festival in Germany in September.

“My initial idea was to create a Christmas horror movie, but instead I made a beautiful, ethereal film,” the 21-year-old said in video touting the project.

And while it’s described as a Romeo and Juliet-type story, it’s of the X-rated variety. The film will feature music from her rapper ex Mod Sun. It stars well-known adult entertainment actors Abella Danger and Small Hands.

Thorne added that the “process of shooting was quite interesting” that what she is used to “because we had real-life f**king on set, which I had never shot before at all. It is quite a fun environment.”

Needless to say, some are surprised by the move — even though she’s not starring it. “I cannot believe this is the girl I watched on Disney Channel as a kid,” wrote one. Another put, “Bella Thorne [really] went from Disney Channel to Pornhub.”

Others pointed out how she and her Shake It Up co-star Zendaya have gone in different directions since their Disney Channel days.

Thorne is always willing take risks though — whether it’s a professional decision or something personal, like when she recently released nude photos of herself on social media after a hacker threatened to.

But she’s found success. In her new book, The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray, she talked about how she always lands on her feet despite countless challenges — sexual abuse, dyslexia. The book was on Amazon’s best-seller list before it was even released from pre-sales.
