Did a feud between Debra Messing and Megan Mullally end 'Will and Grace'?

Two years after its revival, "Will and Grace" is once again dead — and so too might be the friendship between its lead actresses.

Conspicuous social media activity from both Debra Messing and Megan Mullally seems to clearly suggest a rift between the longtime co-stars. Fans recently noticed that the women no longer follow each other on Instagram, even though they both follow just about all of their other co-stars.

According to multiple reports, the rumors began when Messing posted a photo in which she tagged every cast member, as well as some behind-the-scenes crew members, but did not tag Mullally. Then, earlier this week, Mullally shared and then deleted, a cryptic Instagram story: "One of the best feelings is finally losing your attachment to somebody who isn't good for you," she wrote.

Mullally has since deleted the post.

If the actresses' friendship has in fact iced over, it will be hard to mask if the cast makes a group appearance at the upcoming Emmy Awards on Sept. 22. The other actors who round out the lead foursome, Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack, are seemingly staying out of the drama.

The supposed feud is emerging a week after producers confirmed that the show's 2020 season will be its last. The original series had an 8-season run before wrapping in 2006, and it returned to air in 2017.

Many of the shows fans have taken to social media to beg NBC to reconsider: "This show is the one thing that NBC has ever done right besides 'Friends!'" one wrote on Messing's Instagram.
