Kid Rock skewers Taylor Swift: 'She will suck the door knob off Hollyweird'

Kid Rock is taking issue with Taylor Swift's politics.

One day after Vogue published its interview with Swift for the cover of its September issue, in which she openly discussed some of her political views and why she remained silent during the 2016 election, Kid Rock took to Twitter to blast the singer.

"Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period," he wrote. "And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl."

His accusation that Swift "wants to be in movies" comes ahead of the release of "Cats," which the "Love Story" hitmaker appears in. Her previous acting gigs have included 2010's "Valentine's Day," 2012's animated "The Lorax" and 2014's "The Giver."

Despite dipping her toes in and out of acting, Swift maintained in Vogue that her primary focus is on her main craft.

"I really love my job right now," she said. "My focus is on music."

Kid Rock has been a vocal advocate for President Trump since early on in the 2016 election. In July 2017, he even jokingly announced that he was running for Senate as a Republican in a prank complete with campaign materials, slogan and the works.

In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, he explained why he was supporting Trump for president.

"I’m digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary or Bernie, or you get Rubio or Cruz or whoever, there’s going to be the same sh-t," the country-rock singer said. "Has that much f--king changed when anyone’s in office, whether it’s been a Republican or a Democrat in office, in our lifetime, anyway? I haven’t really seen this big, like, f--king change. Obviously some people f--ked up. That’s a long debate. My feeling: let the motherf--king business guy run it like a f--king business. And his campaign has been entertaining as sh-t."
