Neri Oxman, Brad Pitt's former crush, welcomes first child

The one that got away!

Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab professor Neri Oxman welcomed the birth of her first child with her husband, Bill Achman - who works as a hedge fund manager.

The MIT professor, who was briefly linked to Brad Pitt in 2018, opened up about the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" actor in the August 2019 issue of ELLE Magazine, calling Pitt "an incredible human being" and "a good friend.” In a 2018 interview with The New York Times, she "emphatically" denied ever dating the actor.

"He brings together the timely and the timeless, which is what cinema is all about," she told them about Pitt.

In the same interview, she opened up about what it was like being linked to the 55-year-old Hollywood icon, admitting she used the paparazzi as a shameless plug to promote science, after she was photographed holding a copy of the Feynman Lectures, a physic textbook, and an LP of The Golden Record.

Oxman and Achman announced they were expecting in the Vows section of The New York Times in January 2019. The American-Israeli professor was was previously married to classical music composer Osvaldo Golijov from 2011 to 2015.
