Kamala Harris used to date this daytime talk show host

Before Kamala Harris married Douglas Emhoff, the Democratic presidential candidate briefly dated a television icon.

Almost two decades ago, Harris was romantically linked to Emmy-winning talk show host Montel Williams. The former couple, who share a nine-year age difference, walked the red carpet together for the 8th Annual Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles in 2001-- Williams' daughter, Ashley, also attended!

During the same time period, Ebony magazine identified Kamala as Williams' "girlfriend." According to the Daily Mail, "Harris was also identified as the mother of Ashley in Jet, forcing the magazine to print a retraction and point out that Ashley's mother was actually Williams' first wife Rochelle."
