'Bond 25' could feature a cameo from this member of the royal family

The upcoming James Bond film could feature a cameo from a member of the royal family!

The Sun reports that Prince Charles has been offered a role in the still-untitled "Bond 25" and that the heir to the British throne is "considering" taking it.

Producers of the film, which is expected to be Daniel Craig's last as Bond, reportedly made the offer when Charles visited the set several weeks ago and was inspired by his mother, Queen Elizabeth's, cameo in a James Bond homage put together by Danny Boyle for the 2012 London Olympics.

"They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that," a production source said. "He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it."

"When he visited the film set a few weeks ago it was discussed," the insider added. "Now he is considering it."

Adding fuel to the invitation to appear in "Bond 25" is the fact that production of the film has hit a number of stumbling blocks in recent months, including an explosion on set, the lack of a title, a director change and several injuries, including Craig hurting his ankle.

Having a royal in the film would solve a lot of the problems brought on by negative buzz, producers think.

"The producers are desperate to sign him," the source told The Sun. "It is no secret that the film has suffered a number of setbacks but landing a Royal could be just what the movie needs."

"Bond 25" is set to hit theaters in April 2020.
