Donald Trump has punny reaction to A$AP Rocky's prison release - and Twitter is losing it

A$AP Rocky is free.

A Swedish judge ordered Rocky's release from prison after a high-profile three-day-long trial. However, the rapper still has to wait for a final verdict regarding the assault charges resulting from an incident that took place in Stockholm on June 30.

"A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!" the President tweeted on Friday.

While the Twitterverse had a shocking response to Trump's unexpected series of puns, other tweets called out POTUS' dedication to the case, noting it's solely because of the rapper's A-list inner circle.

"Trump cares more about a rich and influential rapper who has many rich and influential friends in the top 1% than he cares about the thousands of immigrant children stripped from their families and thrown into internment camps on American soil whereas A$AP Rocky is in Sweden."

"A$AP Rocky was released because he is innocent. Trump had absolutely nothing to do with that and he needs to stop pandering to his top 1% influential friends while 99% of regular Americans, especially African Americans and minorities, are suffering under his administration," the user added.

Moments later, the "Fashion Killa" rapper took to Instagram to thank his fans and friends for the support.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks i cant begin to describe how grateful i am for all of you this has been a very difficult and humbling experience.

"I want to thank the court for allowing me bladi and thoto to return to our family and friends thanks again for all of the love and support," he added.
