Bow Wow slammed by Twitter for body shaming Wendy Williams

Bow Wow's most loyal fans do not have his back right now.

The "Like Mike" actor is facing some serious backlash after he took to his social media to body shame Wendy Williams.

Bow Wow posted an image of "The Wendy Williams Show" host in a bikini with the caption, "They say it's a hot girl summer," with laughing and nauseated face emojis. (For context, Hot Girl Summer is this season's most ubiquitous social media phrase, which TIME defines as "a call to live your most confident and unapologetic life.")

One Twitter user wrote, "When u failed as a rapper so you gotta turn to making fun of older (more successful) women," while another said, "he’s pretending to fly private jets while actually flying coach and he’s on a reality tv show on WE tv...he’s definitely not some super successful rapper that doesn’t need money."

Instagram users also came to Wendy's defense in the comments section: "I don’t know how old she is but she’s still beautiful whatever shape they are."

Another read, "It’s sad to shame a woman when u have a mom about her age n u have a daughter who will be her age one day, while another simply wrote, "This is why you're not on anybody's A-list."

The rapper's scathing post is likely a response to Wendy's recent Hot Topics segment, where the 55-year-old host called Bow Wow "very distasteful" for calling his ex-girlfriend, Ciara, a "b--tch" and bragged about "having her 'first.'"

"It's very distasteful. We've all had somebody before we had you, man. We've all lived, but to be shirtless in a club and calling her a ‘b---h,' you were so wrong for that," Wendy expressed.
